2. Kedarnath Temple

3. Gangotri Temple

4. Yamunotri Temple

Located near Rishikesh, this famous Shiva temple is associated with the legend of Lord Shiva consuming the poison during the Samudra Manthan.

6. Jageshwar Dham

10. Dhari Devi Temple

Built on the banks of the Alaknanda River, Dhari Devi Temple is regarded as the guardian deity of Uttarakhand.

The pilgrimage generally begins in April or May and concludes before winter when the temples close due to snowfall.

The ideal period is May to June and September to October, when the weather is pleasant and roads are generally accessible. The monsoon season (July–August) may bring landslides, while heavy snowfall during winter leads to the seasonal closure of several high-altitude temples.
